Dark Shards are rare ores harvested by mining a Dark Shard Vein. They can be used to craft a Crucible in an Anvil. They can also be used to craft the Dark Helmet, Dark Sword, Dark Armor, Ancient Helm, Ancient Scythe, Ancient Lance, and Ancient Armor in the Crucible.
They tend to spawn in dessert biomes, and in desert caves.
